The Paprika Cup.
Vodka, whiskey, pimms, passionfruit puree and a paprika sugared rim
Behold its holiness. When I die, I want to swim in a pool of it. I want to drown in it and go to Paprika Cup heaven. I want to be Paprika Cup for Halloween next year. OK, I may be losing focus here. The point is – Paprika Cup.
SUSHI. I love me some sushi. I’m a roll girl. I just love those little bite sized pieces of goodness. I hadn’t been to Bamboo in years, and never the NW 23rd location (after it displaced my go-to favorite sushi place, Yuki, I basically went on strike against it). But it’s now been there for years, and my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday there – what’s a girl to do? Answer: eat some sushi.
We had a variety of rolls (Rainbow Roll, Spicy Scallop, Northwest Philly, Green Machine, I Heart Anago) – and all were really fresh and delicious. I’m still gonna give my favorite sushi in town gold star to my girl Yama on NW Lovejoy, but I’m ordaining the Paprika Cup to be my new favorite cocktail in Portland (just narrowly edging out the Khing and I at Whiskey Soda Lounge).
If you know me you know I’m constantly on a quest to find Portland’s best burger, and I have to say, the burger here looked pretty epic ($17 if you get it with the works!) – so I may be back to explore that at a later date.
Let me know what you think of Bamboo and if their burger is worth going back for!
